Student Life

North Sydney Boys' High School aims to provide effective learning and teaching for gifted and talented students within secure, well-managed environments, in partnership with caregivers and the wider school community.

The Student Welfare Policy outlines the School's holistic approach to education, catering for not just the academic but also the personal and social needs of students.

As part of this philosophy, we believe that extra-curricular activities at North Sydney Boys' High School are an important part of each student's experiences of the school. Included below are just a few of the areas in which students can develop skills and achieve to a very high level both within the school community and in the surrounding world. Other activities include ISCF, Chess Club, and debating.

Students are represented in the governance of the School via the Student Representative Council, providing a forum for student-lead projects and input into School operations.

The School also participates in the Young Achievers programs. Students have gained excellent results in these programs in recent years, highlighting the combination of creativity, innovation and academic proficiency that are the hallmarks of so many North Sydney Boys' High School students.
